Nokia, sponsor of the Tournament in 2011, commissioned the National Children's Bureau to conduct a qualitative research campaign. Obviously the kids loved participating and, at the same time, "Benefits were noted by both teachers and parents in core areas such as learning, decision-making, social skills, confidence, attitudes and behaviour." British Gas and London 2012 have also partnered with the Top Trumps National Schools Tournament.
In addition to helping children improve their basic numeracy and literacy, it helps them gain and deepen knowledge on the subject matter covered in the pack.
