Audi created an Android app to help phone owners curb battery wastage, which also showcases the brand's Start-Stop programme which automatically turns off the motor while the car is stationary. The app detects activated applications that sap power despite not being in use. An alert then notifies the phone's owner, who can view and turn off idling apps.
The Start-Stop app achieved almost 25,000 downloads in its first 14 days of existence.
