Starlight Supper Marketing Partnership with Smooth UK

Provided by Real and Smooth Ltd
On Sat 26th February, Smooth Radio UK will play the soundtrack to the UK's largest simultaneous dinner party

Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

Fantastic opportunity to be part of something truly worthwhile. For 6 weeks, we prompt our listeners to register online to run a Starlight Supper dinner party on 26th Feb. They charge their friends to come and all proceeds will go to MacMillan Cancer Research. On the night we play 6 hours of music to the evening, punctuated by a dinner party quiz to play along to. Listeners can download celebrity recipes, placecards, menu cards and other great things to help their night go smoothly. They then upload their photos online to our dedicated section after for all to peruse.

What is the Marketing Objective?

Brand Engagement and CSR objectives

How does it work?

A sponsor will have full ownership of all Starlight Supper activity with the station. 6 weeks on air, including promotional trails, vignettes and sponsorship tags on the night and 8 weeks online, to include ownership of the Starlight section, Roadblocking and Gallery sponsorship. The sponsor's logo will also appear on all Party Pack Material and within our media partner's coverage. (TBC)

Who's used it in the past?

Last year was our inaugural year and was incredibly successful, prompting circa 3,000 dinner parties and raising almost £140k for charity. It would be a natural fit for a retailer such as Sainsbury, a drinks partner such as Gordon's Gin or Hardy's Wine or of course Fairy liquid!

Features / Benefits

This is a marketing initiative from the station and so you will become a true partner, which goes beyond a badging exercise. A sponsor would have real prominence on air and online for an extended period thereby delivering over and above a standard piece of sponsorship. Last year we had £170k of print coverage in our media partner, which we expect to grow this year and the sponsor will benefit from co-branding here and finally, it fulfils a large part of a company's CSR considerations.
