The RHS is the world's largest gardening charity and one of the most respected brands. RHS Britain in Bloom is one of Europe's largest horticultural campaigns. The campaign was started in the 1960s by the British Tourist Office as a way of marketing the UK through flower displays. Participants get involved with cleaning and greening up their local areas. Today, more than 4,000 community gardening groups in neighbourhoods, cities, towns and villages across Britain participate each year to show off their accomplishments.

The Britain in Bloom campaign builds strong community groups benefiting both local people and the environment. Inspiring and supporting schools to develop horticultural skills and knowledge as well as providing bursaries or scholarships and formal horticultural qualifications for older students.
