Virgin Media's London Underground WiFi - a one-of-a-kind opportunity.

Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

WiFi is available in 250 London Underground stations (out of 270 in total!). This opportunity allows brands to advertise through full screen splash page and MPU style tile placements on the landing page following registration and/or connection to Virgin Media London Underground WiFi.

What is the Marketing Objective?

Building brand awareness among Londoners as well as providing the opportunity for engagement with a captive audience.

How does it work?

WiFi signal is available in the ticket area, on escalators and on platforms throughout the current 250 Wifi enabled Underground stations. This 'free to use' service is available to Virgin Media mobile & broadband customers, EE, Vodafone, 3 and O2 customers. Once a user has registered their device or signed in they will be taken through to a full screen splash page, which then redirects to a portal page. From there the user is free to use the WiFi for their personal activity.
