StreetGames is a national charity, which provides opportunities in sport to young people in our most disadvantaged communities.

Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

StreetGames is a national charity promoting sporting opportunities for young people who are living in the most disadvantaged communities. 26 projects across the UK deliver sport through tried and tested methods to the doorstep of young people who don't get the usual chances. As well as regular, ongoing activity through its network, StreetGames organises major regional events. These events provide opportunities for girls and boys to take part in sport and activities such as Football, Handball, Athletics, Cricket, Basketball, Dance and Cheerleading to name a few.

What is the Marketing Objective?

Corporate Social Responsibility. StreetGames offers brands the opportunity to really deliver on its CSR objectives. Partnership with StreetGames means aligning with a proposition which has grown out of a genuine need within our most disadvantaged communities and one which constantly makes a difference. Clearly, this is also a great PR driver for a savvy but committed and honest brand wanting to help kids enjoy more sporting opportunities.

How does it work?

StreetGames delivers sport to young people in disadvantaged communities where they want it and when they want it. Through programmes running every week across the UK and through the high points of the regional festivals, which deliver great local PR.

Who's used it in the past?

Currently SportGames is funded by Sport England, The Football Foundation, Sports Match and The Amicus Foundation. Commercial sponsorship comes from The Co-operative and Shokk.
