Launched in 1994 - Travel Channel International is the largest pan-European TV channel dedicated to the world of travel, broadcasting in 19 languages to 118 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia Pacific region. Using 20 satellite feeds and over 700 cable, satellite and IPTV Affiliates, Travel Channel reaches 60m households. Travel Channel are offering advertisers the opportunity to sponsor tailor-made programmes, vignettes and themed programme sponsorships including the weather and currency reports.

How does it work?

Travel Channel has an extensive programme library which allows us to create on-air themed strips and blocks on specific destinations. Travel channel's programming includes destination guides, real life adventures, food and drink, luxury travel and sports and leisure. Sponsorship bumpers can run around these for an advertiser to take ownership and the association of a specific destination/s. Example for 1 hr block in Prime and daytime, 15sec in and out of programme, 5sec around Ad breaks across 1 month.

Who's used it in the past?

Travel Channel has worked well for a number of Tourist boards in the past including: Incredible India, California Tourism, Montenegro, Cyprus Tourism Organisation and Greek National Tourism Organisation. Incredible India sponsored an India Month in 2007 followed by sponsorship of a series of "Indian Summer Weekends"' Travel Channel produced and aired a series of branded promotional spots as well as branded billboards. Greek National Tourism Organisation has been advertising with Travel Channel since 2003 and Cyprus Tourism Organisation since 2005.
