Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

Opportunity to sponsor the Real Radio and Smooth Radio Wimbledon output. This will include bulletins throughout the tournament - which will keep our listeners up to date with the scores and daily events. Wimbledon will be launched with a drive promotion which will be designed specifically to complement the client's brief. As part of the activity we will also produce a three part documentary series focusing on Britain's most revered annual sporting event

What is the Marketing Objective?

Real Radio reaches 2,353,000 adult listeners each week, the network targets 25-44 year olds. Smooth Radio reaches 2,694,000 adult listeners each week and targets music lovers aged 40-59.

How does it work?

Sponsor Wimbledon news updates across the Real Radio and Smooth Radio networks from Monday 21st June June to Sunday 4th July 2010. GMG Radio reporter Mark Benstead will record live updates from Wimbledon which will be played out across the networks following the news bulletins. 6 bulletins will run per day weekday afternoons & 4 bulletins per day weekend afternoons (excl. middle Sunday). Client to receive 1 x 10" credit per bulletin. Please refer to the attachment. All elements are available for sponsorship or individual elements.

Features / Benefits

This is a great opportunity for a brand to be associated with Wimbledon 2010. The client will receive a name credit and strapline in all of the Wimbledon bulletins (between 4 and 6 bulletins per day). In addition the client will receive key message mentions in pre-recorded trails, live presenter reads and compeition rounds within the promotion. The client will receive online branding and content on the Real and Smooth Radio websites.
