Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

Sky Media are pleased to announced the arrival of Arrow, coming to Sky 1 HD in Autumn 2012. This epic series reinvents the DC Comics super hero for a modern-day audience. Based upon characters appearing in comic books and graphic novels published by DC Comics, Arrow follows Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell, The Vampire Diaries) who, after suffering unimaginable ordeals while marooned for five years on a remote island, returns home with a mysterious agenda and lethal set of new skills.

What is the Marketing Objective?

Associate with award winning content on Sky 1, recently voted 'Channel of the Year' at the Broadcast awards. With an on-going demand for comic book style content, this brand new big budget super hero series will appeal to an eager and excited audience. Following on from the huge success of Terra Nova and Touch, Arrow will provide Sky 1 viewers with an exciting new US drama.

How does it work?

Scheduling will begin in October 2012 across Sky1 and Sky1 HD. There will be 22 x 60 minute episodes, with repeats on Sky1 and sky2 (+ any showings on Sky anytime and Sky go). Accreditation will include Opening Credits of 15 seconds, Centre Break Bumpers of 2 x 5 seconds (x3 centre breaks per one hour show) and Closing Credits of of 15 seconds. There will be accreditation on all programme specific trailers over 20 seconds.

Who's used it in the past?

This is a brand new sponsorship opportunity.

Features / Benefits

There is the opportunity to extend the sponsorship to the Republic of Ireland. The sponsor will have the option to extend their association to the series website. The site will be an accompaniment to the on-air offering.
