Powerboat GP is the UK's premier circuit powerboat racing series.

Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

Powerboat GP's flagship event is held at the National Watersports Arena, Nottingham. Racing takes place over the weekend of 31st August and the 1st of September with Teams and Drivers from around the world appearing to take part in what forms part of the UIM World Powerboat Championships. With the boats having breathtaking acceleration, high speeds, exceptional manoeuvrability and the racing taking place within a confined area, it's a fantastic spectator sport; fun and exhilarating to watch and makes a great day or days out for young and old alike.

What is the Marketing Objective?

To raise brand awareness by direct engagement with spectators at the event, listeners via pre event radio campaign and viewers via TV exposure in the UK and Worldwide. The brand also becomes associated with an exciting,powerful and photogenic motor sport as well as being involved in a unique sporting occasion.

How does it work?

As well as the sponsor's name and brand featuring within the UK and Worldwide television coverage, the whole event can be heavily branded with feather flags, banners, static displays and demonstrations. The event sponsoring company will also have major inclusion in the concentrated 3 week commercial radio campaign which forms part of the build up to the event. A flexible package can be built to reflect a sponsor's individual requirements.
