32 pages of text, over 14,000 staff required to read it, learn how Mann + Hummel used simpleshow instead.
The challenge was to produce something which could be used as a training tool for both the office-based staff and the factory workers alike.
Mann + Hummel Group required a method for condensing a code of conduct document of 100 pages, into a format which could be distributed to and understood by 14,400 employees worldwide.
simpleshow - short, succinct, clear and entertaining video clips. 6 x 3 minute simpleshows were produced to condense vast amounts of text and deliver it in a more engaging and practical manner. 1 clip was produced for each stage of the Code of Conduct manual. The clips were particularly useful, by allowing staff to watch the clips at their own convenience, helping to avoid down-time in production.
The feedback among staff was extremely positive. They were particularly happy with the way in which topics which would not normally be of interest could be broken down into an easy-to-understand format, whilst at the same time being enjoyable to watch. The videos could also be hosted on the company's intranet, where employees could gain access to them for future use.
Not only could the compulsory information be delivered to staff quickly and efficiently, but also in a way which allowed them to fully understand and remember the key elements.
