Carbon Reports 2011 Sponsorship Opportunity

Provided by Sky Media
The latest emission figures and advice on how carbon footprints can be reduced, broadcast on Sky News every weekend.

Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

In December 2009, Sky News became the first UK TV channel to provide viewers with a regular Carbon Climate Report. Sky has been working closely with the AEA, a world leading energy and climate change consultancy, to develop the carbon forecasting tools. Each and every weekend, we provide our environmentally concerned viewers with up-to-the-minute emission figures and advice on how carbon footprints can be reduced, additionally updating on estimated greenhouse gases being emitted in the UK each week.

What is the Marketing Objective?

Educate consumers and associate your brand with environmental accountability

How does it work?

Opening and closing credits, 4 times a weekend, 208 times over a 12 month period plus additional exposure available through the website. The unique reports, introduced to Sky News, aims to help viewers understand more easily the changes in carbon emissions across the country and what the possible reasons behind them could be, as well as outlining what our viewers can do to reduce their own emissions. This opportunity therefore provides a sponsor the unique opportunity to align their brand with our respected and environmentally educational programming.
