Provided by First Radio Sales
Sponsorship of fast and direct Olympic bulletins across the FRS Local Radio portfolio reaching over four million adults.

Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

With the Olympic Games in London this summer, the FRS local radio network is giving you unrivalled access to millions of local radio listeners and the opportunity to be the brand partner that brings the hottest Olympic news to the ears of the UK. We have accredited news reporters direct from Olympic Park that will deliver timely Olympic flash reports when Team GB wins a medal or significant news story needs to be told.

What is the Marketing Objective?

The Hot desk will be pre promoted for two weeks prior to the games opening ceremony and supplemented by digital display assets on the popular stations web sites - making this a creative and tactical radio solution of Olympic proportions!

How does it work?

The Games Hot Desk is a bespoke branded content campaign that will run across over 60 leading local radio stations, allowing brand X to engage with listeners by owning Olympic content on the station for the duration of the games through branded airtime as well as online and within social media activity. Through the idea of frequency - this exciting sponsorship gives brand X the ideal opportunity to amplify marketing messages around official Olympic content to embed the brand into the hearts and minds of the nation.

Who's used it in the past?

The FRS Radio portfolio is used by many well known national brands who wish to engage with local radio audiences including Sky, British Gas, Autoglass, Vodaphone, Unilever , DFS and News International. This opportunity would suit any brand with an association with The Olympics, sports or local communities.

Features / Benefits

The Hot Desk will be put together by Sports Media who shall be at the Olympic village. SportsMedia are a trusted and accredited source of sports news. We will package up the 60" news feature and sent across the network of sixty local radio stations, to be on air ASAP every time Team GB wins a medal; giving listeners up and down the country who were not able to get tickets access to breaking Olympic news.
