Cricket Scholarships awarded to England's top emerging U15-19: from leadership courses to winter placements in Aus, Ind, SA .
Players aged 16-23 identified as potential England cricketers through robust, ECB led, talent identification and selection process and criteria. 3 main categories: (1) ECB organised and led group shared experience with access to World's Best coaching, support and / or competitive opportunity. (2) Individual programme based at ECB accredited centres abroad (eg Perth, Chennai). (3) County-organised individual programme.
A guideline timeframe for the scholarship duration is 1-6 months. Sponsorship of the ECB Scholarship programme is currently on offer.
Brand awareness, Corporate Social Responsibility and tapping into regions in the UK through the 18 First Class Counties
ECB Award Panel will consider bids annually from Counties and from the National Skill Set Lead coaches. Successful bids must be able to show clear goals and justification for the experience and the benefits that will be gained.
Youngest bracket will attend youth leadership courses, progressing with age to attend academies in India, Australia and South Africa for 2 weeks, to full winters playing cricket abroad and continuing performance programmes.
This initiative is available for the first time.
Sponsor will be at the forefront of developing the next generation of England cricketers as well as being associated with a national sporting governing body.
