Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

Sky Sports is proud to announce another year of fantastic cricket coverage, kicking off with the eagerly anticipated ICC Cricket World Cup in spring 2011. This is your chance to have your brand sponsor all of Sky Sports' coverage of the massively popular 50 over format which is set to showcase the worlds best 14 International cricketing nations compete to be the 2011 World Cup winners, a title currently held by Australia. Sky Sports will show live and exclusive coverage of the 2011 Cricket World Cup, the group games, quarter finals, semi finals and the final held in Mumbai.

What is the Marketing Objective?

An excellent opportunity to build awareness of your brand through targeting a large audience of Cricket enthusiasts

How does it work?

A sponsor can expect to receive opening and closing credits in a sequence lasting up to 15 seconds. An over break logo during live play and on returning from a break; between overs the sponsor will be featured in the corner of the screen for up to five seconds (approx 20 over breaks per match). 5 second full screen break-bumpers will be displayed entering the commercial break and a 5 second logo on leaving (On average 14 per days play), this will also be the case for wicket breaks (approx 14 per match). On air promotion will be provided on all CWC specific trailers.

Who's used it in the past?

This is a brand new opportunity however other sponsors of Sky Sports coverage have included Gillette, Ford, Bet 365 and Sure for Men.

This sponsorship opportunity provides the opportunity for a multiplatform campaign through utilising a number of attractive advertising and sponsorship packages, enabling a sponsor to extend and support their branding message across SKYSPORTS.COM, the Sky Sports Mobile Cricket Score Centre IPhone application, The Wisden Cricketer and SKY SPORTS MAGAZINE (for more information regarding these additional opportunities please refer to the attachment above).
