Galaxy Radio will create a music festival to take place in France in 2008 - a Brand New promotion!

Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

Galaxy will create a music festival to take place in France in 2008 The festival would run for 5 days around the 29-30th March (dates TBC) and would feature the best in popular dance and R 'n' B music as well as DJ's performing in a number of different venues around the resort over the 4 / 5 nights. We would seek a headline act, such as Groove Armada (tbc) or Basement Jaxx (tbc), to play on a main stage or main club night. Galaxy DJs would play other events / nights. Subject to programming approval, some events & club nights will be broadcast across Galaxy FM.

What is the Marketing Objective?

Engage with the elusive 15-34 market through creation of a desirable product for them to enjoy both on and off air. Association with a 'cool' and trendy event that has elements of sports but a focus on music and a focus of 'friends'.

How does it work?

On Air: Pre recorded trails and live reads from November to March highlighting Event. Promotions to send listeners to the event. Outside broadcasts coming live from the resort on Galaxy FM, in association with the client. Off Air: Microsite, Promotions via SMS, Newsletters, E-magazine, Rough Guide to resorts, Sampling at events, Client branded Slopes & Club nights. Wks 1 & 2 - Launch promotion in Network Evening Show Wks 3-15 - Co-promotional trails Wks 16 & 17 - Breakfast show promotions across Network to win tickets Wk 18 Event Week - Huge exposure
